What is your Reputation Worth

Honesty is always the best policy. There is so much hype about the Home Business industry that people don’t know where to turn. It seems as though any and every program you join will make you rich overnight…if you buy into the hype. A Home Business is just that, a Business.

According to Wikipedia “In predominantly capitalist economies, where most businesses are privately owned, businesses are typically formed to earn profit and grow the personal wealth of their owners. The owners and operators of a business have as one of their main objectives the receipt or generation of a financial return in exchange for their work and their acceptance of risk. Notable exceptions to this rule include cooperative businesses and government institutions. This model of business functioning is contrasted with socialistic systems, which involve either government, public, or worker ownership of most sizable businesses.”

Notice the words risk and work, no definition of business is “push this button then go to the beach.” Work is still work even if you love what you do. There is a learning curve involved like everything else in life. The crucial element is action, put what you learn into action, and don’t quit. Nothing takes the place of a focused business plan. Plan your work and work your plan.

It takes time and work to build a reputation as a Business Professional. Never hype or oversell your product or service. Integrity and honesty are the hallmarks of a Business Professional.
