Misrepresentation…What NOT to Say

A very large part of doing business on the Internet is branding yourself. Your word is not only your bond, but your brand as well. The only thing that sets you apart from the other millions of people doing business on the Internet…is YOU. The truth is a very powerful thing. If you can’t answer a question about your business opportunity or help wanted ad or anything else, just say so. Misrepresentation will cost you more than you will ever know. Even telling people what they don’t want to hear, will gain you respect, if you’re honest.

Being a master at what you do is invaluable, but the fact is, you may not have all the answers to every question posed to you. The simple response is "I don’t know, but let me find that information and get back to you". Don’t ever bluff or give false information, that only leads to a lack of your credibility and a lost sale or contact. Become a Business Professional and treat prospects as you would like to be treated, you will not only gain their respect but their business as well.
